We hope everyone isn't quite sick of our shameless plugging of Ichigo. We can't help it-we sincerely love their stuff and honestly, we are tough cookies to please. It's just nice to see a brand with a clear vision. Each collection is filled with classic styles of shoes and bags with the quirkiest designs.
Anyway we tried our best to keep things interesting by continuing to spotlight fun places around Manila as well. Little Tokyo seemed pretty fitting since the shop takes it's name from the word strawberry in Japanese!
Little Tokyo has a little something for everyone.
For Arianne, the more adventurous food tripper, it hits the spot for authentic Japanese eats. Included are yummy ice cream bars -lifesavers during a sweltering hot shoot!
For Bea, it was the perfect place to chill out for evening drinks. Just imagine chatting the evening away underneath the glow of the red lanterns and ensconced in the cozy garden square.
And now for some completely unnecessary umbrella silliness! Let it be known that the square was empty around this time so we were very comfortable making fools of ourselves.
B's expression in the bottom left photo says: You want me to do what??
To indulge photographer Tinay, she proceeded to pose like a twee little statue.
B channels Alexa Chung with a slick striped tunic and preppy socks, satchel and shoes. The 3d glasses are a random prop which luckily went well with this restaurant sign. Sigh! This post is kind of all over the place but so were we that day. It perfectly captures the imperfect chaos which was the photo shoot.
Arianne's outfit was much more Tokyo-riffic! The pop of red stood out from the otherwise oriental surroundings. It was taken from her mom's enviable collection of blazers!
Lastly, a shot of our photographer Tinay-looking all kawaii while munching on an ice cream bar! They were 70 bucks a pop but we just had to try one out. They had so many crazy flavors-including one filled with Hershey's chocolate!
